Small break to \u00c1vila with Chap\u00edn.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This city of just over 57,000 inhabitants is internationally known for its surrounding wall. But \u00c1vila is much more than this. A step away from the Capital Madrid, <strong>\u00c1vila is one of the most attractive and historical enclaves of Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>. Here we can enjoy an important artistic heritage, archaeological sites, civil and religious architecture, gastronomy, festivals and traditions. Today we invite you to a trip to \u00c1vila<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Things to visit that you should not lose<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The wall.<\/strong> It is the international image of \u00c1vila. With a perimeter of 2,516 meters and an almost rectangular shape, it is one of the few in the world that is complete along with that of Segovia and Lugo. Although it is a long walk, if you stay several days, I recommend you take a whole tour and appreciate the expansions and the details that it hides. It was built between the eleventh and fourteenth centuries and it is the largest fully illuminated monument in the world. The wall can be visited and walked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Cathedral of El Salvador de \u00c1vila.<\/strong> Gothic Cathedral that began in the 11th century. Avila\u00b4s Cathedral is pioneer in many aspects. It is the first that introduced the Gothic style in its construction, being the oldest Gothic cathedral in Spain. It is also the first Spanish cathedral to be part of the list of the World Heritage. The interior is one of the most unique in Spain and it is worth letting yourself be imbued with its magic even if it is by sitting on a bench.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The 4 Columns.<\/strong> The best view of the walls and the city is from those 4 pillars. It is located outside the walled area of \u00c1vila through the Alcazar gate. Here you will find the largest market in the city held in times. The church of San Pedro is located there.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Basilica of San Vicente.<\/strong> It is the most important church in \u00c1vila after the cathedral. The Romanesque church is in the place where it is believed that St. Vincent was martyred in 300 AD.
