In the province of Badajoz we have one of the most interesting and fascinating landscape and natural corners of Extremadura. We talked about the García de Sola Reservoir. This reservoir collects water from the Guadiana River and is located in the municipality of Talarrubias, near Valdecaballeros. This location has a high environmental value, as you can observe numerous species of birds in their natural environment. In its waters, you can practice canoeing, motor navigation, sailing, and there are also enabled areas for bathing and boating. A campsite has also been developed in the area. - Puerto Peña beach is an artificial beach of Costa Dulce, perfectly equipped with everything we need to enjoy a day with our children. The beach has showers and the area also counts with snacks for bathers.
- Water activities: on the Lake we can do canoeing, sailing and motor navigation with a beautiful landscape sightseeing.
- Horse rides: know the nature of the area with a very special route
- Orienteering: the rock formations and the lush vegetation make it an ideal corner for orienteering lovers.
- Bird watching: they nest a great variety of birds such as the golden eagle, the azor-pericera eagle or the black stork, which has promoted its denomination and reward of Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA).
- Talarrubias: you can find the tourist office there. We can also visit the Hermitage of San Roque, the Hermitage of the Virgin Coronada and the Parochial Church of Santa Catalina de Alejandría.
